I finished this in such a rush I didn’t have time to document or write about it, but I did remember to take some pictures…
Real impala horns for the headdress.
The bronze leather aviator-style hat– the base of the headdress.
Shots of the finished headdress– horns and ears and dreads and all.
The corset. I totally screwed it up but I’m not going to tell you how.
The Faun pants’ first day out. Trial run at Emerald City Comicon. We made many new friends.
Makeup from the MECA runway show.
Pre-makeup dress rehearsal.
Erin made me show the student models how to catwalk strut. I look intense here because I’m praying not to fall in my 6 inch platforms.
Greeting the Mainahs.
Here’s a link to the video of the whole show. I’m at about 19:30.
Me and my proud Daddy. Pauline made the sweater–we’re a crafty family. My folks got to sit in the front row– so much fun to have them there.
All-in-all a great experience. I learned SO much. I’d like to try to make more pants like these, but damn, they’re a lot of work. BUT SO COOL. Incredibly comfortable, too. Whilst running around ECCC, I could comfortably plop down anywhere– built-in pillows! You also make a lot of friends when your lower half is so cute.
